Initial examination and first treatment
During your first visit a thorough health history, examination and evaluation will be taken. You will be surveyed about your overall health, lifestyle, behaviour and specific conditions. It is important to provide us with any and all medical conditions and medications or supplements you are taking in order to ensure the safest and highest quality of care. Please bring any other important information with you, such as recent lab work, imaging studies (ie. x-rays, MRI, etc.), or any other information that would be relevant for your case. By doing a thorough investigation and examination, we are able to understand your health needs and develop a diagnosis and treatment plan. The treatment plan is unique to you and is created to meet your health goals, lifestyle and finances.

Acupuncture follow-up
Acupuncture points and trigger points are situated in all areas of the body. Sometimes the appropriate points are far removed from the area of complaint. Treatment plans are unique for each individual and will vary for points selection to number of treatments required per week. Please wear comfortable clothing that will allow access to your legs and arms. If appropriate, a gown, towel or sheet will be provided if other areas of the body need to be exposed for treatment.

New Patients: Please fill out initial forms online before your appointment. Please bring shorts or lose fitting clothing. Please do not brush your tongue before your examination as your acupuncturist will want to see the natural coating of your tongue for diagnostic purposes.
